SHRPA--The Society of Human Resource Professionals and Associates was established and accredited by the Philippine Embassy Abu Dhabi on July 2016- as an organization which empowers human resource professionals and associates to reach their full potential enabling them to be globally competitive and contributing a positive impact to the community specifically to our fellow Filipino.
The mission of SHRPA is to uplift the growth and well being of its members dedicated to serve the community while integrating the core values of loyalty, integrity, and excellence through sustainable value creation. Currently, SHRPA has 70 active members including those 15 new members who recently took their oath during the 1st HR Summit in conjunction with the 1st year anniversary celebration which was held on 18 August 2017 at InterContinental, Abu Dhabi.
WHO CAN JOIN?
HR Professionals who are holding an HR title and function; Associateswhose role or function in their company is outside HR or within the HR department.

WHAT WE DO?
1-- Learning Journey-SHRPA aims to provide learning and development programs that would support career growth of members and reach their full potential. Some of the topics which were conducted were Strategic HR Management, Event Management & Entrepreneurial Skills and CV Writing, Interview, Selection and Personality Development.
2-- Career Enhancement- SHRPA also provides support to those members who would like to be an HR certified through HR certification review sessions, knowledge sharing and focused group discussion.
3-- Community Service- the organization is also supporting different social services and community outreach programs in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy and POLO-OWWA. Job Fair was one of these events which was organized in coordination with the Bayanihan Council on 30 June 2017 during the 119th Philippine Independence Day celebration held in Khalidiya Mall, Abu Dhabi.
Aside from Job Fair, SHRPA also participated in different categories and won prizes during the Independence Day celebration such as:
Best in Rural Costume
Best in Craftsmanship and Best in Creative Work
SHRPA also showcased their talent among other organizations with their dance presentation called T'boli Dance.

4-- Socialization- SHRPA values close family ties among our members where everyone respects each other's individual differences just like siblings in the family. We treat every member as asset of the organization hence we value and appreciate each one of them. The organization also conducts regular monthly meetings to get in touch with members to update and follow through on future events and ensure work - life balance is upheld specially that we are all away from our home country.
I am happy that I have joined this group. I am proud to be part of it and its achievements. I feel honored to be given an opportunity to help others especially our fellow kabayan here in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
